Did you ever play a game of backgammon?

I don’t think there are many persons who didn’t hear about this game. But did you know that games like backgammon have been around since ancient history?

The ancestor of modern tables games is thought to be the Royal Game of Ur, played in ancient Mesopotamia before 2600BC! The “jeux de tables” (e.g. tables game), predecessors of modern backgammon, first appeared in France during the 11th century and the latest major development in backgammon was the addition of the doubling cube somewhere in 1926-27 in New York City.

I’ve always considered this game to be a luck-related one, but it seems backgammon leave room for strategy as well - you can find all kinds of related information on this resourceful backgammon site.
There are clubs all over the world, tournaments are organized and, of course, lots of people are playing this game for money. I just play for fun though! :)

These days, you can play backgammon online as well. The other day I downloaded an application from which allows playing online against people from all over the world either for fun or real money! It’s up to you how you want it! :)

The application is called “All-in-One Lobby” and, besides Backgammon, you can also play (Real Money) Poker and Perudo without the need to download anything else. The graphics are very nice, you can choose an avatar and chat with your opponent / friend.
When you feel ready to play for real cash (you should check their promos too) just click on the big “Switch to real money” red button!

I’m going now to play some more! :)

I’ve seen the game before. And I tried playing it. I kinda don’t understand how it works. But I still want to learn how to play it.

It’s easy and there are many tutorials out there!

Thanks for stopping by!
