The thing I found when researching web hosting, is if you look hard enough, you can find something nasty about even the best hosts. Given how cheap hosting is these days, I wouldn't over analyze things too much. Just pick one, jump in, and if they turn out really bad, just change.

Great post and tip you have here. Thanks for sharing. We always look for the best web hosting. We do somehow look for the cheaper ones, but we must also keep in mind that it should also serve to be a good web host for your writing. If it’s not, it is useless. It is best to get the ones that have already be used, reviewed and recommended by users themselves.

thats a very good article, this is the same thing i though when i was about to buy hosting for my blogs and found two top of the line for the purpose like blue host and dreamhost and i distinguished between then by reading user's personal reviews and vise versa.
a nice tip to find a good host is that you must know which type of website you are about to start blog, forums or what then find some websites like you are about to start and see where are actually they are hosted. for example i found 50% blogs hosted on bluehost =/

At the time of writing jaguarpc.net hostgator.com and asmallorange.com are very good.

If viewing six months after this was posted: Go to a webmaster forum and search for "best web host" or similar; it's a popular topic(!)

Hosts can easily go from good to bad over a very short period.
