Good Deeds Just A Click Away

Yes, it’s true! You can do a good deed each day with a simple click!

It’s indeed that simple! There are six sites, each dedicated to a specific humanitarian need, which you can visit every day and with just a click you will help making a difference in this world.
Each site is focused on a specific need and allows supporters to benefit leading charities with simple, everyday online actions such as clicking to give and shopping to give more. That goodwill translates to funding for established nonprofit organizations that implement vital programs and initiatives.

When you click, they display ads from site sponsors. 100% of the money from these advertisers goes to charity partners, who fund programs to provide food to the hungry, free mammograms to women in need, healthcare and literacy to children, to save the rainforest and to provide food to rescued animals.
Their store gives a portion of every purchase to charity partners as well.

Here they are:

The Hunger Site

The Hunger Site
Providing food to hungry families is just the first step to solving the world hunger crisis.

After each click you have given the value of 1.1 cups of food to the hungry.

The Breast Cancer Site

The Breast Cancer Site
Joining our efforts together is the most powerful way to protect women’s health.

After each click you are helping a woman in need get a free mammogram.

The Child Health Site

The Child Health Site
Your effort give vulnerable children renewed hope for a happy, healthy life.

After each click you are helping a child in need get healthcare.

The Literacy Site

The Literacy Site
Sparking the imagination is just one of the many gifts that a new book can impart to a child.

After each click you are helping a child in need attain literacy.

The Rainforest Site

The Rainforest Site
From the smallest tree frog to the top of the grand tree canopy, the treasures of Earth’s rainforests are unmatched.

After each click you are helping to protect 11.4 square feet of rainforest.

The Animal Rescue Site

The Animal Rescue Site
Every year millions of homeless animals are cared for in shelters and sanctuaries until they find a loving home.

After each click you’ve given the value of .6 bowls of food to rescued animals.

These site are from the GreaterGood Network of websites, which offer the public a unique opportunity to support causes they care about at no cost to them.

I found few more sites like the ones from above on GreaterGood.com working on the same principles - click to make a good deed!

I’m closing this post by asking you to think about how much you can do just by taking little time to give few clicks!

Thank you!

When all you ahve to do is click there is no excuse to to take part. Nice find.

This idea is great! A click wouldn’t cost you anything and you can do so much good to people in need. A really constructive post! Thank you!

Yea Really good idea, i’m agree with Maria! Thank you and good luck!

I have miss read this post. Very easy way to donate. If only I read this earlier, I will have done more…

It’s never too late to do something good! :)

What a simple way to help the needy. Quit smoking is right, you really wouldn’t have an excuse for not taking part. Millions are using the internet each day. If all will do their part in clicking, imagine how many people and animals we could help and save so as our forest. Above all, I salute the sponsors for supporting these kinds of programs. So, make a difference, Click to save a life!

What a great idea this is, helping mankind with just a click. It is good to know that there are advertisers who fund such programs in able to give help to less fortunate people, the animals and our forest. Lets do our share and help. This is a good deed indeed!

I just did six good deeds! Guess my work for the week is over.
I had heard of the hunger site but the others are new to me.
Pardon me while I go and give them a look over.

Helping the needy represents a great act of human value!

I think this info is very thoughtful and it will help others.

I bookmarked it so I can visit all
of these links.

Thanks for putting that resource out there. It is always funny to think that even though we have so many forms of communication, ie., Twitter, Facebook, Blogs, etc., that causes like this are still not receiving the type of publicity that they should be. Went ahead and submitted this post to stumbleupon.

It’s amazing idea that people make such huge impact and help those in need by simple click.

At this time of year, giving these worthy charities a few clicks is the least we could do. I will take the time a do a little more. Thanks for pointing out a great way to help.

Nice post! It’s amazing that with just a simple click i can help others. Thanks for making this post!keep it up!

This is really the easiest way that I heard about so we can help others - by just a click. Will surely be sharing about this one. Let’s click on!

Some great sites here, its always good to support charities and people less fortunate than ourselves, thanks for posting.

It is amazing to know that with just one click you’ll be able to help others which is very good. I hope that this drive will be expanded so that it can largely endow a big help. Thanks for the review.

Thanks for the reminder! I try to click on those links whenever I remember to. It’s so easy to help people out.

I also love the store on the Animal Rescue site. I might get something there for my dog for Christmas

This is a very bright idea considering the internet community is very wide. hopefully can help those people in need

Hello Nicusor, I`m really glad there are people like you who prompte sites like these. Can you be more specific about the way money reach the ones in need? Do these sites have a contract with Google? How would my click give money I did not give?

Thank you and have a nice day!

Amazing, who would have thought it would be as simple as a click to help someone out. The web is truly and amazing ecosystem. I’m still learning every day. Thanks Nickoo, you’ve opened another door for me.

Hi! That is the awesome idea! You gave all people a great chance to do something good for for those who need it!

Awesome idea! I never knew the advertisers donated the money for all of the clicks they received.

This is a very good thing that the advertisers are doing.

LoL youre site kinda reminded me of the girl who called hundreds of times on the telephone to donate for Haiti victims but didn’t know that theyll get billed for the calls and kept calling and even boasted in facebook that she called a lot and one of her friends told her that they will have to pay for it XD anyway a couple of minutes wont take much of my time and this is a great way to help others…

thanks for this post. My work deals directly with people who are economically impoverished. Every day, I interact with people in an urban setting who are homeless or on the verge of homelessness. The reasons of economic poverty are diverse and can be very complex. It is easy to assume that the poor are poor because of slothfulness, lack of self-control, addictions, etc. These things are true, but certainly not always.

But who can guarantee the money reaches the intended beneficiary?

It’s not my intention to nag or anything of the sort, but there is a small possibility that the whole thing is fiction. Nowadays there are people would do anything to get money the easy way. Anyway, if this is the case, it will surely blow up in their faces at one point. But i still appreciate the initiative…It reveals something most of us lack: initiative.

Esti sigur ca acesti bani se duc pe aceste acte caritabile.Daca vrei sa faci o mamografie te costa si te costa destul.Mie nu mi s-a oferit niciodata una gratuita si am facut cateva.

I don’t believe the whole thing is fiction?

Thanks for this post! didn’t know about it before…

Greetings from germany,

Simone

I didn’t know that I could help someone in such a simple way!

Now I have carpal tunnel from all the clicking :) oh, and don’t forget www.freerice.com

Great thinking - everyone can spare 5 clicks a day, right? I mean, not right clicks but… Oh, you know!

Ar fi bine ca acesti bani sa fie donati, sa fie intradevar un act caritabil, insa nu este garantat suta la suta.

@danut: nu cred ca se incurca cineva la asemenea strangeri de fonduri numai in ideea unei delapidari…

I tried to spend some time on those sites too so that it won’t drive their bounce rate up. Advertisers look at that.

Actually I had never thought of something like this! These “badges” are a really good idea. I am definately adding the “literacy badge” to my blog. It is nice to help with just one click :)

@ Alfred

I’m not sure I understand what you’re saying… what won’t drive their bounce rate up?

It’s great to see that someone is using the power of his blog to introduce the power of giving into the public consciousness.

I am going to follow your lead, and do something positive in this direction during the Season.

Thanks for the tip.

There is also another article I liked at toysperiod. It involves making gifts in one’s garage.

Making one’s own gifts elevates caring to loving.

Thanks again for this article.

Stetson

It is good to see that there are people in this world that care and are actually doing something about it. Not simply giving lip service. Not everyone in the world has what they need to live a happy life. It is no skin off our noses to help others lift themselves up when they are down. Well done.

Thanks so much for this information! What a wonderful idea, I’m going to forward this to all my friends. We all have time for a click!

Helping others doesn’t require money. And this ad explains it all. Well, if all I need to do is to click just to help, then I’ll click as many as I can.

Thanks for reminding me about these charitable sites. I stopped visiting and clicking years ago when I changed jobs and lost track of them.

I think it’s a great thing to use you popular blog to do good for the less fortunate. Very unselfish of you and I will pass this link around!

This post should be on facebook or other social networking sites, for sure a lot of people would definitely click on this. This won’t cost anything to people from there, and many people would love to help.

This goodwill suits the holiday’s theme, although good deeds can be shared any time you want. Helping these foundations is one best thing you can do this Christmas. And I’m glad to hear that these established nonprofit organizations implementing vital programs and initiatives for women, children and kid’s education, animals, poor individuals and patients with health issues are going to benefit from it. This little favor can turn to a huge and invaluable contribution. I commend you for such deed; you brought the best out for this season - a season of sharing and joy.

It’s very nice of you to post these, just shows we can all do our bit without really going out of our way… These should be posted everywhere!

What a great idea this is, helping mankind with just a click. It is good to know that there are advertisers who fund such programs in able to give help to less fortunate people, the animals and our forest. Lets do our share and help. This is a good deed indeed!

This is a very good idea to help other people. Congratulations for trying to do something good for other people and make this world a better place :).

from atoms to bits! I wonder how it might have sounded some 20 years ago when you told someone that clicking on some digital device in Tijuana might generate rice in Laos… Cool either way!

Wow, that’s awesome! I wonder how they can afford to do this? What a great way to support some wonderful causes without spending a dime. My mom died of breast cancer, and I often think I’d like to donate for the cure but just don’t have the extra cash. If I can help just by clicking once every day, I’m totally doing it!

I think that literacy is very important. So I always make sure to donate my books at the book drive at the local library. But I had no idea about all these different programs you listed.

It is really great! Thanks for the share.

This is a fantastic idea to raise money! I will make sure I do my share of clicks everyday!

God bless the internet…even charity has become painlessly convenient!

You are correct! I strongly agree with you. In everything we do, we must share also our blessings to other people who needed most because they too like us have life. We can do it in a different way and I am glad that you have made it in your own way. As of me, I am helping other people through sharing of what I have even if it is only a small amount but it is a big help for them. Thank you because still there are many people like you who continue to be good and generous to all.

My favorite is animal rescue one because I am an animal lover. The icon buttons are really attractive too.

Thank you so much for posting this and showing people that donating is very easy. Bless you!

This is a great idea. I clicked the animal rescue link. My cat had 3 kittens a month ago and I have no idea what to do with them. I hope I find an owner quickly for each of them, they are so cute.

Instead fo doing those charity auctions maybe they should invest more in sites like theese.

Great ideea … Clicking is free and painless :)

I wish lot of people will participate clicking on those site to help less fortunate people, kids and environment.

A great idea and much respect to you for supporting them.

On top of these, I would also like to mention World Community Grid. It’s a service run by IBM that uses your idle CPU to help solve humanities toughest issues like finding a cure to HIV/AIDS, various diseases, clean water/clean energy and bettering our environment.

Great post, my mother was a cancer victim and she survived because of community charity. I choose breast cancer site and I’m happy that I can help other victims in my own little way. I’m sharing this to my friends.

Thanks for the list I love helping charities but often don’t have any extra money so this is something that I can do.

These kinds of programs are really wonderful. There is a similar project from the United Nations World Food Programme called FreeRice.com. For every trivia question you answer correctly on the site they donate 10 grains of rice to the WFP’s food bank. No pressure though! The questions are really easy…

Though I hear there are 7200 grains of rice in the average cup…That’s a lot of trivia!

This clickable charities are a great idea. most people want to donate money but simple can’t because of financial constraints. This allows everyone to help out with minimal effort.

awesome idea!

I saved 11.4 square feet of rainforest habitat for wildlife, and got a free mammogram.
All in a days work.

Its a good idea. Adsense should have a donation option which gives a certain percentage of revenues.

Wow this is fantastic. Each day when I have break I’m going to make clicks. Till I can afford to go out and make a difference for people I’ll stick with this!

Nice post,n what a great idea this is, helping mankind with just a click. It is good to know that there are advertisers who fund such programs in able to give help to less fortunate people, the animals and our forest. Lets do our share and help. This is a good deed indeed!

Donations are very important especially now with so much happening in the world these days. Nice list you created also thanks for posting the Do Follow list looks like a lot of effort was put into it.

GREAT thing you have shared and open eyes not only of MINE but many folks like me…coz we are simply waste many hours just for FUN but never thought there are SUCH thing in life to DO…One CLICK and ONE HELP. I always do it from now onwards. Thanks again to WAKE me UP.

I am a real believer in giving charity to the people who need it most. There are amazing people who do unbelievable work to help sick children and the poor all over the world. God bless all their efforts and may they keep up the good work.

Well, this makes doing a good deed easy! Thanks for sharing, I’ll have my good deeds set for today!

Congratulations for trying to do something good for other people and make this world a better place

I’am just happy when I could help hundred of people with a few clicks. Thank you for this website Nicusor.

Off topic : I graduated Automatica si Calculatoare (Politehnica) too

Millions are using the internet each day. If all will do their part in clicking, imagine how many people and animals we could help and save so as our forest

Thank you nicusor for your post. I click on the website saving the animals daily ,providing 6 bowls of pet food with just one click.

Excelent idea and a very human post. Keep up the good work, I am a big animal lover too.

Its a very heart touching deeds, imagine in one click? There’s a lot of people wasting their time in clicking some worthless things or page. Today i will do a good deed;)
